Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this Locking Cam Latch for your horse trailers. Now, this is going to secure the handle on your horse trailer's cam-action door latch, it will replace the standard hasp and padlock assembly on enclosed trailers with a bar-style handle. It's also going to be comparable to the Fastec and Global Link vise locks that you see on the screen there, so if you have either one of those models and you're needing to replace it, this is going to be a comparable replacement for you. The lever is going to automatically latch when you drop the handle in place. It's gonna be more secure than your standard hasp and padlock, it can't be easily unbolted from the trailer like your hasp, nor can it be cut like a padlock, so it is gonna be a lot more secure for you, help protect the tack and other gear and your horses that you have in your horse trailer.
It is constructed of a die-cast aluminum, it's got this black powder coat to help resist corrosion, and so, it is gonna be very durable for you. You can see we do also have this rubber keyhole cover included, so that we can protect that from any dirt, debris, moisture getting into our lock core there. And we are going to get one key that will work to secure this in place, so it can't be opened, makes it very easy for us to lock and unlock it when we need to. The mounting hardware to get this mounted in place is not included, you will have to provide that for yourself, because of the different depths of mounting locations, but should be very easy if you are replacing another lock, should work for you there just for using that same hardware. So overall, really nice option here for those of you who are looking to replace a hasp and padlock assembly or to replace one of those vise locks that we showed on the screen earlier.

I purchased two locks assemblies and they came not keyed alike so now I have to run around with three keys to lock my trailer. I called and asked if I can purchase two more locks and they told me I could not be guaranteed to have them keyed alike.. how would you like to have to carry three different keys to unlock your car?

Perfect replacement fit. Ordered two locks.
Came with matching keys for both locks and keyhole covers to keep dirt and water out.
Exact replacement for our broken latch. Website had a clear description. Fast shipping as well.
I asked some questions of your help desk. I couldn’t find the “drop down” to have the 3 locks keyed alike. I was told that isn’t available anymore. So now I have to use 4 keys to get into my trailer. (I didn’t replace 1 lock). Then I asked if they came with the rubber key hole cover that showed in the video but not on your catalog picture. I was told no so I ordered some covers. When my locks came they in fact had the covers on them.

Unfortunately this cannot be keyed alike anymore. Thank you for your help about the key covers. I will see if this is an added feature from the manufacturer and will update accordingly.
Received my 2 trailer locks, they are exactly as described.
I'm a bit disappointed since one of them came with plastic button cover for the key, the other one didn't. would have been nice to have them both covered for dirt and salt...

We do actually have a replacement plastic cover that should fit the lock you currently have. Check out part # BA99VR.
The product was exactly what was needed to replace the old broken door lock/latch on our recently acquired used horse trailer.
I just received it today. Have not been able to install it yet. Just noticed that I got the wrong key with the lock. Will be contacting etrailer tomorrow.
Product was exactly as I order and was of good quality. Paid a little extra to have all three latches keyed the same, which was well worth the money. The latches were easy to install and spruced up our horse trailer. It's nice to be able to open the trailer latches without having to get a hammer to open them!
The product worked great except it didn't come with the required screws. It worked out since it was a replacement lock but if I didn't already have the screws it would have been a problem. I purchased it for a replacement since the lock broke in the one I had.

Because this product is mounted on doors of varying thickness the mounting hardware is not included. However, the typical type of screw used is a ¼-20 machine screw Philips drive. The length can be 1.5 inch, 2 inch, 2.5 inch, or something else. You would have to measure your existing bolts or screws in order to verify.

Exact match to what I needed. Shipping was fast and price was good.
Loved that everything shipped out fast and the process was painless but I ended up with wrong keys and some with out spares and one key didn’t go with any locks and I never seen a place where I could have gotten one key to fit all but other then that it was perfect.
Product is ok but would have been nice to have them key alike.

This manufacturer does not give the option of having multiple locks keyed the same, however we do have s similar lock that does. It is part # 295-000024.
